You seriously need more attention dude, this track is awesome! Probably some of the best arranged drops I've heard! All I have to say is that the trombones at 00:53 either sound too compressed or they're just a bit too loud. Good luck!

Sounds really weird with just a sine wave. Sines aren't used commonly in chiptune. Try using Squares, Saws, and Triangles instead.

eeeee i tried my dude

This is awesome! The instruments sound so realistic too, especially at the swing part! I couldn't even believe they were just libraries :D

Miyolophone responds:

Thank you! I can take credit for some of the realism (there was quite a bit of programming required at the swing part haha), but also yes, they are good-sounding samples!

I'm writing this as I'm listening. The modulated saw at the beginning was AWESOME! I love it. The "cutting" growl (idk what to call it) that starts at 0:31 sounds kinda off and doesn't seem to fit there. There could also be some more harmony at that area too. There seems to be too much subrange in this track (mostly in the beginning) and the mix is VERY muddy. Did you cut out the unnecessary frequencies? The drums are a bit loud. Scrap what I said earlier, the whole song needs more harmony. The drop at 1:58 is kinda weird. I can see that you had an idea of what you were going to do which is good, but when the phaser bass stops being modulated it sounds really weird, gritty, and hard to listen to. The mixing at 03:05 falls apart and nothing sounds together there. Theres a TON of balancing issues there as well. The white noise there sounds too loud and I'd recommend filtering that. The modulated phaser issue sounds a bit better at the second drop at 4:30 but the mixing makes it hard to hear everything that's going on. I also hear clipping there. Did you make sure to master it correctly? I like the little filtered ending, that's pretty neat. Overall, it's a really nice song. The main issue was the mixing. The arrangement was nice and I look forward to seeing what you create in the future!

thank you, it's true I still have a problem in the mix, but I'm training. Very good feedback :)

I never thought I'd ever see chiptune DnB but this is awesome and perfectly done. Great job :)

This most certainly is Synthwave! Great job! You got that brass lead perfect, the drums fit very well. The lows in the mix are a bit messy for some reason, be sure to EQ correctly. There should've also been a BIT more of a bassline than just the root note of each chord, but this is very well done! Keep up the great work.

Skiddle responds:

Thank you so much Muddy! I appreciate the advice greatly :D

This needs lots of work. It sounds like you didn't use any scale to make the song (or at least any chord progression) which makes all the melodies sound out of key and don't fit with the basslines. The sound design is weird and the mixing is awful, making it nearly unlistenable. For example, the piano riff at 00:38. Many areas sound out of time, especially at 00:46. 1:55 sounds like you're layering notes a half step away from each other trying to make a harmonic melody, but it fails to do so because of how close the notes are. Another example of the mixing making this song unlistenable would be at 03:06, where nothing fits together and the bass is way too loud and the lead can barely be heard. Be sure to fix these things and improve your music before thinking about selling commissions. Keep up the good work.

Synfang responds:

Oh, believe me, I wasn't planning to start charging for a long time, as in over a year. I trust that will be ample time for me to improve. TBH, I actually had virtually no experience in music when I started my channel, and don't have much more now. But, enough excuses on that basis. In my defense, I was trying as best I could to make something like Dimrain47's "At the Speed of Light", as I said in the description. I know I fell short by a lot (not many can match him anyhow). But, I gave it my best effort. :/

IS THIS REAL LIFE?! DID YOU REALLY MAKE A FULL-LENGTH SONG?!
I'm proud! This is good!

Sounds awesome my dude. Must've had a ton of automations at the drop XD
The mix could've been better, especially at the drop but this is very enjoyable. Well done.

Awesome job, definitely the best Megalovania/STMPWYFS remix I've heard. The mixing could've been better however. For example, this needs more sidechain. At 1:00, the synth lead is nice, but it should be slightly louder because my ears focus too much the bass and drums. At 1:16 the bass and drums are way too loud and should be lowered. Even if it was slightly filtered would be cool. Cool chord progression at 0:16, however Megalovania's melody doesn't fit with it, not sure if it's the right chord progression it was built off of (and it sounds out of key when the melody comes in. Honestly, this is awesome and keep up the great work! I understand how hard remixing is, especially for a song that's extremely hard to beat, and you did great at it.

I love writing video game music!
